See what a buyer’s AI thinks your company does.
Buyers now ask ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity before they ask you. AEO Lens shows, in one click on any site, whether an AI can read the page, how ready it is to be quoted, and what the AI concludes the company does.

Most B2B sites are half-read by the assistants buyers ask.
We pointed AEO Lens at 274 well-known B2B software companies. Three numbers from that study:
could not be read by an AI crawler at all. Most turned automated readers away at the door, so an assistant has to answer from somewhere else.
274 B2B software siteshomepages plainly said who the product is for when an AI read them cold. The rest left the reader to guess, or never said.
40 homepages read coldpublish an llms.txt, the short file that tells an AI what a site contains. 95 of the 152 files we found passed every check.

AEO readiness, out of 100
A single number for how ready a site is to be read and quoted by an AI assistant, built from three parts you can see and fix.

What an AI thinks this company does
An AI model reads the homepage text cold, with nothing else to go on, and says in a few sentences what the company does and who it is for. If that is not how you would describe yourself, the homepage is not saying it.
- The same short skim an assistant does before it answers a buyer
- Plain about the product, and about who it is for

Seven llms.txt checks
Title, summary, links to key pages, links on your own domain, sections, enough content, and not bloated.
Structured data
Which schema types the homepage declares, such as Organization, so a machine can tell who the site is about.
AI crawler access
Whether robots.txt shuts out GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot or another AI crawler.
Fix it in one click
Generate an llms.txt, or improve the one you have, with the free generator, prefilled for the site you are on.
It reads public pages. It never reads you.
When you click the icon, AEO Lens sends one thing to our service: the address of the site in the current tab. It needs no account and no email, and it only reads pages anyone can open.
It checks the step before being mentioned: being read.
“Can’t I just ask ChatGPT about us?”
- What you get
- An assistant tells you what it says about you, from whatever it found. AEO Lens shows whether it can read your site at all, and what it concludes from your own homepage.
- The numbers
- The score comes from fixed checks, so rerun it after a fix and compare like for like.
- What to do next
- Every miss points to a fix you can make today, starting with your llms.txt.
“We already track our AI visibility.”
- What it is for
- Visibility trackers count how often assistants mention you over time. AEO Lens checks the groundwork underneath: can a model fetch the page, find a summary and tell who you serve.
- When to use it
- Before you pay to track mentions, and after every homepage change.
- What it costs
- Nothing. It is free, with a fair-use limit.
Three ways to move the number.
Write or fix your llms.txt
The generator drafts the file from your real pages, or grades the one you have and hands back a fixed version.

Is AEO Lens free?
Yes. It is free, with no account and no email. There is a fair-use limit per IP address so the service stays fast for everyone.
What does it send to zRev?
Only the domain of the site in the current tab, when you click the icon. Our service then reads that site’s public homepage, llms.txt and robots.txt, the same pages any crawler can fetch, and sends the result back.
How is the score worked out?
Half of it is the llms.txt grade from seven checks, a quarter is whether the homepage carries structured data, and a quarter is whether robots.txt lets the AI crawlers in. The popup shows each part, so you can see what moved it.
What is the cold read?
An AI model reads the opening text of the homepage with nothing else to go on and describes the company in a few sentences. It is a quick test of whether your homepage says plainly what you do and who it is for.
Will an llms.txt improve my Google ranking?
No one should promise that. llms.txt is a young convention, not a standard, and Google says it is not needed for Search. It helps the AI assistants and agents that look for it find a clean account of your site.
Does it work on any site?
On any public site. Some sites turn automated readers away at the door; when that happens, AEO Lens tells you, which is worth knowing, because an assistant is turned away the same way.
Which browsers does it run in?
Chrome, and other browsers that install extensions from the Chrome Web Store.
Who makes AEO Lens?
